Yamaha XSR 155 Teased for Nepal, Launch Expected Soon

Yamaha Nepal has officially teased the arrival of the highly anticipated Yamaha XSR 155 on its social media channels, signalling that the retro-styled motorcycle is set to make its debut in the Nepalese market soon.

The XSR 155 has long been one of the most-awaited Yamaha motorcycles among enthusiasts in Nepal. While the company has not revealed an official launch date, the teaser campaign indicates that its introduction is now imminent.

The XSR 155 brings together retro-inspired styling with the same mechanical package used in the Yamaha MT-15 and R15, offering a blend of classic design and modern engineering. The motorocycle will be available in Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic, and Metallic Blue colour options.

The Yamaha XSR 155 adopts Yamaha's neo-retro design language with a round LED headlamp and tail lamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a flat single-piece seat, and a circular LCD instrument cluster that resembles a traditional analogue gauge while displaying digital information.

Powering the motorcycle is a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The engine produces 18.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle is built around Yamaha's Deltabox frame and features upside-down front forks and a Monocross rear suspension. Braking is handled by disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, while traction control is also included.

One aspect that remains unclear is whether Yamaha Nepal will introduce the optional Scrambler Kit and Cafe Racer Kitthat were unveiled alongside the motorcycle in India. The company has not confirmed if either of the factory customization packages will be available for the Nepalese market.

The Cafe Racer Kit gives the motorcycle a sportier appearance with a front cowl and revised bodywork inspired by classic café racers, while the Scrambler Kit adds off-road-inspired styling elements for a more rugged look. Whether these kits will be offered in Nepal remains to be seen.

With Yamaha Nepal now teasing the motorcycle, more details regarding its official launch, pricing, specifications, and market availability are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
